Black & White, Rich in Gold

Black & White, Rich in Gold

Rob (IG: @smearpainting) is an abstract artist, using his own experiences as a human of biracial background in his arts. He uses the colors black and white as symbolic meanings within his abstracts artworks. As a result, I have created these sweatpants with that in mind, as seen below.

Black and white painted octopus in front fo sweatpants, tentacles wrapping the leg. Liquid gold splashes around the body, proving visual direction of tentacle movements.

Due to using at least three colors with any Octopus related painted clothings, I used Gold as the cum that splashes about, the slippery tentacles wrapping around the legs, as any creature with tentacles could.

Gold was used as we humans have a history fighting for gold, conquering for gold, using gold as currently, and using it in devices we launch in space. Gold has a lot of utility machinery as it is to our species.

In the back, where glutes muscles will be found, there lies a skull and a crown, in gold. I have created Basquiat influenced works because Rob is a fan oh his works, and thus I thought it serves a function in these sweatpants.

From a technical point of view, it was. a challenge as I have never painted using black and white colors inclusively.
